McIntyre earns £ 21 million

British comedian Michael McIntyre made a whopping £ 21 million from just ticket sales that make him the most successful comic artist. You may love him or hate him but Michael McIntyre really knows how to please his audiences.

Pollstar, a concert trade publication, reported that McIntyre made a £ 21 million in just ticket sales from his last year’s showtime tour. This figure puts him ahead of music bands like Aerosmith and he just only fell short of Rolling Stones’s ticket sales record that stands at £ 22 million.

Michael McIntyre’s Showtime tour went to seventy three arenas that even incluses ten nights at the O2 arena. The 36 year old comedy star performed in front of 639000 spectators. The tour was quite well received by all and critics gave a 4 – star reviews.

Apart from all the income from ticket sales, McIntyre also sold thousands of DVDs as well as the copies of his autobiography. His Showtime DVD release on the Christmas Day topped the official United Kingdom Comedy Stand-Up Chart.

Yet just 6 years ago, Michael McIntyre was £ 40000 in debt and at the same time he was struggling to hold his family afloat. His television career started to rise when he came on The Royal Variety Performance and his very first United Kingdom tour in the year 2009 was a booming success.
